Jason first began to work out and exercise at the age of 19 upon joining the US Marine Corps.  It was there a lifelong passion and pursuit for physical excellence began.  He was inspired to create his PEACEFUL WAY to PHYSICAL WELL-BEING after trying countless approaches that involve a lot of “grimacing” found in the “No pain, no gain” mentality.  His results are based in slow breath, slow purposeful movements, and establishing core strength and inner peace.  
Now nearly 25 years later at the age of 44 he is often mistaken for someone in their late 20’s.  Jason has been coined as the man of TEN THOUSAND MOVES.  This is because he has spent his life studying exercise forms such as kick boxing, body-weight resistance, jump training, yoga, stretching, Pilates, Tai Chi, and meditation to name a few.  He has mastered the ART OF BREATHING and feels personally called to help each individual reach their greatest health, peace of mind, and overall well-being.
Jason co-creates programs with each of his clients that are tailored to their individual needs. Along the way he will lift your spirits and empower your mind. 
He has vast experience in helping children from the age of 5 to adults up to age 99.  Jason is comfortable in all training situations and prides himself on helping people believe in themselves and encouraging change in areas previously not possible.

My name is David Torres Jr., as a trainer at Desert Medical Fitness Academy; I am very excited to share my knowledge and passion of fitness with current and future members. I have my certification with ISSA (International Sports Science Association) where I have two certification; Specialists in Fitness Nutrition and Certified Fitness Trainer; I am also a Certificated TRX Trainer, Functional Trainer and RIP Trainer with TRX. I am also proud of being part of The National MS Society as one of their Fitness Trainers. I have a background in golf fitness. My goal as a personal trainer is to provide a fun and effective way to improve the overall quality of life for every one of my clients. I believe all of life’s challenges, are opportunities for growth.
